Rita Neidich is a prolific New York City based actor and singer who has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway plays, leading lady roles in musical theater around the country and abroad, as well as television.

Off-Broadway credits include the world’s longest running musical The Fantasticks, and new plays King of the Jews, Homer's Odyssey, and New York Circa 1909. Regional theatre: Hodel and Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof (Barrymore Award nomination) and The Immigrant (Leah); shows that mirror Rita’s own life as a Jewish refugee immigrant. Rita emigrated to the States from Ukraine as a young girl.

While performing Off-Broadway in The Fantasticks, Rita went back to school and received a Masters of Science in Organizational and Performance Psychology. Simultaneously she researched and coached peak performance and biofeedback with performing artists and FDNY firefighters. She is also a Board Certified Biofeedback Specialist certified through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA).

Rita developed a unique coaching approach while she led peak performance coaching and research programs at non-for-profit organizations which specifically service firefighters, military, and their families. Her methodology merges components from sports and organizational psychology, applied psychophysiology and biofeedback, performing arts techniques, mindfulness, and meditation.

Now Rita continues to perform (she was in an Off-Broadway play and a play reading with your host Allison during the recording of this episode!), while continuing to coach clients and speak through her private practice.
